Founder
Takahiro Haruyama, MBA

After graduating from university, Haruyama began his career at Citizen Watch, where he quickly advanced in product planning across Asia. His international expertise expanded through key assignments in Dubai, where he managed operations across the Middle East, Russia, East Asia, and Africa. He later moved to the United States, overseeing subsidiaries in the US, Canada, and the UK, ultimately retiring as an executive officer in the US. Under his leadership, Citizen Watch achieved the number one market share in the US, showcasing his ability to drive global business success.

Building on this foundation, Haruyama went on to establish a successful welfare equipment sales company in the US, gaining invaluable experience in the competitive American medical equipment market. He then joined a leading Japanese medical device company, where he played a critical role in developing domestically produced devices, securing international product rights, and managing R&D efforts. His contributions spanned the development of key medical technologies, such as orthopedic implants and respiratory consumables, while also gaining deep insights into clinical environments in Japan.

Now leading at Globizz, Haruyama is recognized for his strategic expertise in navigating the complex regulatory landscape of the US medical market. He believes that the pre-submission process with the FDA is a crucial phase that defines a product's global commercial success, and he has successfully led many companies through this process, securing approvals and market entry across multiple regions.

Haruyama is among the rare few with deep expertise in both Japanese and US markets, covering product development, regulatory applications, insurance reimbursement, sales, and after-sales service. His experience includes successfully driving the US market entry of Japanese welfare and medical equipment companies, establishing robust sales networks, consulting with physicians on product development, advising on local manufacturing, and securing medical insurance coverage in the US. He has also served as an outside director for a US-based medical device manufacturer, where he played a pivotal role in cultivating local sales and securing business negotiations with major American firms.

With a career spanning over 50 countries, Haruyama has excelled in managing global operations and negotiating international business contracts. His broad experience and successful track record make him a key figure in global business strategy, especially in the welfare and medical device sectors.
