Tomoko Asagami, MD, PhD, MBA

Dr. Tomoko earned MD and PhD degrees from Nihon University, Tokyo, Japan, where she also did a residency and worked as a cardiologist. She went to the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Stanford University for a postdoctoral fellowship. There, she studied the link between insulin resistance and cardiovascular disease. After that, she worked as a physician in Japan for 7 years. In 2018, she earned MBA from University of Massachusetts Lowell. She handles mainly medical devise, regenerative medicine, and pharmaceutical projects at Globizz as a researcher.


Maris De Guzman, M.D.

Ms. Maris De Guzman, M.D. grew up in Manila. She earned her BS Food Technology and then continued her studies in the medical field. She obtained her Medical Doctor degree at Far Eastern University-NRMF and worked as a General Practitioner after obtaining her Physician Licensure exam in the Philippines. She also gained an experience working as a Utilization Reviewer. She moved to the US in 2017 and obtained her certification in Medical Coding. While she is expanding her knowledge of the research field, her experience in the areas of medicine make her an asset as a researcher at Globizz.


Korina Serrano, PharmD., CCRP

Dr. Korina Serrano is an Industry Pharmacist and a Certified Clinical Research Professional based in California. She received her Doctoral degree in Pharmacy from West Coast University School of Pharmacy, her Baccalaureate degree in Biological Sciences from California State University Los Angeles and her Associate’s in Arts degree in Natural Science from Pasadena City College. Dr. Serrano has numerous years of experience in community, institutionalized pharmacy and Phase I clinical research directly handling and preparing Investigational Medicinal Products (IMP) for early phase drug development. She is engaged in research work at Globizz, focusing on pharmaceutical, food, and EPA projects.


Eiko Komatsu

After studying Environmental Health Bioscience at university, she worked for an electronic medical record manufacturer, a CRO (contract research organization, DM manager), and a CRA (clinical development monitor) for a pharmaceutical company. With her experience, she is now in charge of business development at Globizz, planning development projects for medical devices and pharmaceutical clients up to commercialization.


Miyuki Nagao

Miyuki was born in Kumamoto, Japan and after graduating High school, moved to Hawaii for college and then transferred to California State University, Fullerton where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. At Globizz, she work as an Assistant Manager at the Tokyo office supporting companies wanting to expand their business in the United States.


Saaya Hirai

Hokkaido, Japan is Saaya’s hometown. As a junior high school student, she had the opportunity to study in New Zealand. This experience sparked her interest in studying abroad in the future and to widen her knowledge and language skills which led to attending the Ming Chuan University in Taiwan, directly after high school, to study International Business in Mandarin and English. Through her studies at the University and internships in Taiwan and the United states, she has expanded her experience and knowledge especially in world trade. Saaya continues to learn and applies her knowledge as a Project Coordinator Assistant for Globizz at the Tokyo office.


Maki Shima

After studying media communications at Waseda university, she worked in corporate sales at a Japanese #1 cosmetics company. She then studied abroad at the University of Washington to study international business. Currently, she is working as an assistant to project controller at Globizz in California.


Miki Igarashi

After graduating with bachelor’s degree of law at Meiji Univ. in Japan, Miki had been working in public relations, investor relations and handled legal and general affairs at a steel manufacturer company. She became interested in management and that led her to study business at the University of California Irvine. After earning her certifications there, she joined Globizz and is working as HR/Admin Assistant.

Takahiro Haruyama, MBA

After graduating college in 1991, Takahiro Haruyama worked for Citizen Holdings Co., LTD and experienced working for several different countries. His aggressive efforts and expertise helped to consistently grow the market share, and he achieved the best sales in the United States the last year with the corporation. His experience has created a unique multi-cultural business ability and background. Today he expands his vision to Japan, United States, Israel, Korea, China, and more. He specializes in the Medical fields of importing and exporting, negotiations, M&A, etc.
